How RecoverMyVideo Works

RecoverMyVideo can recover video files recorded with smartphones and video cameras that suddenly powered off and were left corrupted. To recover them, you only need a short, healthy video recorded with the same camera.

You don't have to install any software — our website does all the work for you.

The site recovers MP4/MOV-family files (ISO Base Media Format). That's the typical format of the smartphones and domestic digital cameras. For professional formats, like RSV or MXF (for Sony and Canon), please contact support.

The steps

  1. Upload the corrupted video file. The video must not exceed 2.5 GB in size.
  2. Upload a healthy second video recorded with the same camera. It has to be at least 10 seconds long.
  3. The recovery is attempted. If the video is successfully recovered, a screenshot of the corrupted video is displayed so you can confirm it recovered correctly, and the price is shown.
  4. After you pay by credit card with Stripe, you'll be able to download the recovered file.
